We bring this website to you for free. Our website is supported through our advertising sponsors and donations. The website brings many advantages to our community.

Part of the donations we supply are: Dan Antos and his computer shop's time and expertise. Neither Dan nor his shop take's a paycheck in anyway from this website, The web site's payment to us is the fact we gain business relations and that compensates our time. Dan's compensation is the great response from the website.

We are keeping this site free... It will never be a paid site.
So I am sure you are asking "Why the need for donations?"
A: There is not a "need" per say, like we said every little bit helps.

We will fill you in on some of the facts and myths about websites and fees.

Let's talk about website registration fees. Truth of the matter is, you can get a .com with hosting for about 12 bucks a year..
Hosting fees. Truth of the matter is hosting usually comes free with your registration of a domain name at a larger web host or registration company.
Software upgrades.. I'm kinda at a loss on this one... I think you may need to read a little bit more to fully understand software upgrades for websites.

Free hosting with registration, can't use it in this application, mostly used for static html pages.
Software upgrades, never heard of such a thing for paying a web host for these, We use LINUX as server software for one server, open source upgrades are free. Windows 2008 for the other, MS supplies these for free too!
Software upgrades for the Web Cam server, we would never buy a piece of software that doesn't come with free upgrades and support.
Here's one for you: Dedicated server services- 150.00 per month. That runs the video for the website.
Bandwidth: We are currently using about 2000 GB per month, about 100.00 monthly - Our dedicated server for video is at a data center in Tampa FL and supplies this through a piece of fiber. If we could get fiber services this reasonable here in Northern Cambria, we'd bring it home.
Power: The website itself is powered and hosted in Northern Cambria Pa, our servers equate to approximately 2 blow dryers running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (and they throw off that much heat too!)
Bandwidth: Our server in Northern Cambria is connected to a dedicated static IP connection, about 80 bucks a month.

Cost's go up, the more users, the more bandwidth.

Donations go directly to a separate account used to pay these services and no where else. Donations also speed up additional services in the works, one of which more cams if that's what the public wants. We appreciate your patronage.
